Tankerville Arms Hotel

There are many wonderful gardens and country houses throughout the region, all within easy reach of the hotel.

For example, the spectacular and celebrated Alnwick Garden are just twenty minutes away as are the beautiful and extensive grounds and gardens of Cragside, near the delightfull village of Rothbury. Belsay Hall's unique gardens are within 30 minutes drive, as are many other historic country houses with their fine gardens including Howick Hall, the family seat of Earl Grey (where the tea comes from!).

Wallington Hall is a National Trust property aproximately 45 minutes away and boasts magnificent grounds together with a recently restored stately home.

Whilst we admit, not really a garden, The Northumberland National Park is one of the regions best attractions. The Park's 398 square miles contain delightful wooded valleys and some of the finest stretches of open moorland in the country.
