Cycling
There are some great opportunities for exploring the area by bicycle, either along the coast, or into the nearby Cheviot Hills. There are numerous marked cycle routes in the area that can include long and shiort distances, undulating and flat (ish!) and on and off road.
It is worth remembering that the roads here in Northumberland and the Borders are very quiet, and it is perfectly feasible to cycle for hours seeing only a handful of cars. We can also provide specific facilities for cyclists, including:
- Secure overnight storage for cycles
- Drying facilities for clothes
- Packed lunches for individuals and parties
- Route maps of the region, with guide booklets for specific cycle routes in the area
- Log fires, real ales, and excellent food!
